A few days ago, I got a Roidmi NEX model, but made no evaluation or disassembly as I was busy on a business trip.
Today I came back from Fujian, and finally gave a brief appraisal of the use and the disassembly.
Opening the box, you will see foam packing designed to prevent drops, which may also be a must for online retailers. As you know, logistics-related after-sales costs will be quite a large amount.
Now check its configurations:
A main frame, a soft fluff ground brush with a replaceable shaft, an aluminum tube, a hose, a squeegee brush, a small water tank with 2 rags, a two-in-one brush head, a charger and magnetic charging stand. Gifts: HEPA, water tank seepage filter components.

Main frame:
NEX follows the Japanese style, plain and simple as a whole, toned with white, black and grey.
Main ground brush of the motor. NEX always features floor mopping, so this brush is the core of NEX.
Function extension 1: Replace the middle soft fluff roller, adapted to varied scenarios.
Function extension 2: Add the water tank assembly, for both sweeping and dragging.
The water tank assembly is magnetically attached to the ground brush. I tried it a bit. The two components click crisply when getting close. The water tank is also firmly absorbed to the ground brush, not to fall off when moving.
In actual use of the water tank assembly, the filter performs well with precise control of water seepage. After mopping, the floor is both clean and dry. In this regard, Roidmi does well, as it solves the pain point of the mopping products.
Roidmi gifts four filter elements as spares as they are consumables, each of which seems to serve half a year to one year.

The delicately made brush is made of white and gray materials. The roller can be removed from one side for replacement or cleaning.
Magnetic charging stand: Roidmi’s classic magnetic charging stand + charging head. This time, an upgraded version is available, enabling direct charging.

Roidmi stresses the details, given the fact that the rubber paint is sprayed on each port and thus the interface will not be scratched after insertion and removal. On the other hand, it is not so smooth when plugged in.

Second part: Disassembly
The overall disassembly is shown in the first photo. I am not bad, successfully putting all the parts back after dismantling and gaining some extra parts.

Motor:
Cinderson-branded 400W brushless motor of 120,000 rpm is adopted. As the No.1 third-party motor maker in China, Cinderson now leads in the brushless motor segment.
Contact charging:
The battery pack applies the Scud scheme, featuring eight 18650 LG and Samsung batteries of 2500mAH. When disassembled, the sealing and fixing tape was accidentally broken. So sad!
Disassembly summary:
Roidmi NEX applies clips a lot, nice looking yet hard to disassemble. It is imaginable that its production must be uneasy.
After the dismantling, it is no more completely well. The mold is quite precise, with seam crossings nicely dealt with. The white outer parts hint hard control and high costs. The inner plastic parts are grey, not of peculiar smell.
Overall appraisal:
- Full of micro innovations. Many thoughts must have been put in the phase of product development
- Exceptional in vacuuming and mopping in one. It is not original of Roidmi, but is applied to hand-held vacuums for the first time. It mops well, catering to Chinese and Southeast Asian consumers who are more inclined to mop. It is expected that more brands will follow suit and borrow this function.
- Cordless charging function gets upgraded, rendering more convenience.
- Terrific in details. It excels in production control, as proven by the precise mold and small seams. The mold should not be cheap. It seems vacuum molds are getting more and more fine, which further raises the industry threshold.
- A bit strenuous to lift up the model with one hand, which relates to exterior design. Temporarily, there is no solution to that. Those who do not like the styling are still not fans.
