In February 2018, UK-based G Tech launched a new cordless hand-held vacuum, G Tech Pro.

Besides regular settings, this rollout features a dust bag design, totally different from those available in market.
As G Tech advertises, the dust bag brings multiple benefits:
1. It does better in hygienic disposal compared with Dyson-similar hygienic bag model, as it can be thrown straightly into the bin without cleaning the dust cyclones.
2. The hygienic bag highlights 1.5 L capacity, larger than the dust cyclone model (usually 0.5L).
How does the market response? I searched on Google Trends GTech pro, G Tech’s cordless hand-held hygienic bag model and GTech Multi, G Tech’s cordless hand-held dust cyclone model.
The following chart told that the search volume reached a peak upon February launch of G Tech Pro, and then trended downward. However, even the peak search volume was lower than that of its Multi model.
Dyson V10 rose dramatically as seen in Dyson V10 and Dyson V8 search curve comparison after Dyson V10 debut.
GTech Pro and GTech Multi search results on Youtube showed assessment quantity and review differences.
And only a few comments on GTech Pro’s hygienic bag were found in remaining evaluation videos.
These data implied GTech Pro was no match for its Multi, at least in publicity and market recognition.
Where will cordless hand-held vacuum industry trend? Will the hygienic bag type be feasible in the foreseen future? What is the point of penetration? Welcome to leave a message.
I have a Gtech AirRam High-power Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, Graphite and it’s not taking a charge. Is there someone in the Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY area who can repair it? Please and many thanks.
