wrote about Bosch’s cordless Unlimited, one of its attempts to get through platforms of batteries for home appliances and power tools.

The product has two major features:

1.It shares the platform with the 18V power tool. In this way, the power tool and the new Unlimited vacuum can share the batteries, increasing customer stickness.

2.Battery fast charging technology: 40 minutes to charge a battery. In the lowest gear, this product can work for 60 minutes, with the charging time 45 minutes. This means that two batteries can be charged and used at the same time, demonstrating “continuous runtime” and “infinite runtime” advertised by Bosch.

Dyson has recently filed a complaint to the UK’s advertising supervisor the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), about consumer misleading of Bosch’s “continuous runtime” and “infinite runtime”.

Bosch Home Appliances (BSH) stated that the “continuous runtime” and “infinite runtime” in the advertisements are clear and not misleading because the product itself has 2 batteries. , can be used and charged at the same time.

Bosch also added that in some independent tests, the batteries worked for combined 235 minutes, nearly 4 hours, with seven times of replacement.

ASA said consumers can understand that “continuous” and “infinite” usage time is based on the fact that they can replace the battery in normal mode so that the vacuum cleaner will not work without power, so they considered that “continuous” and “infinite” can be determined. .

A Dyson spokesperson stated:

“Dyson always takes action when we believe consumers are being misled.

“We will continue to challenge our competitors on this and are reviewing the options available to us.”

(When Dyson finds that consumers are misled, we will take action. We will continue to challenge our competitors in this regard)

Dyson is getting increasingly overwhelming in the vacuum industry. On the one hand, it tells consumers that Dyson’s products are the best available through heavy ads investments. On the other hand, it constantly hinders competitors in legal ways. No wonder the war will not stop.

“Dyson is watching you”.
