On September 12th, Dyson launched the new
sweeping robot Dyson 360 Eye Heuriest in Beijing. The newly adopted quad-core
processor features single-core frequency up to 1.4GHz, 8GB flash memory and
multi-cone cyclone dust collection technology. It will hit the market this
November, to sell for RMB 5490 in China, RMB 1,000 less than that of the 360 Eye upon launch.
It’s been four years since the first-generation
Dyson 360 Eye debuted. What’s special about this new Dyson 360 Eye Heuriest?
Heurist means “heuristic
education” in English, implying this Dyson model can self-learn. Heurist processes
20 times faster than its predecessor, as Dyson claims. This super powerful
brain ensures collisions halved and system halts reduced by 65% after Heurist gets
used to the user’s home environment.
LED lamp ring on the rim of the camera is
another remarkable function of Dyson 360 Heurist, highlighting auto open in
case of insufficient brightness. According to media reports on the site, it
cleans faster and better than 360 Eye in a dark room
with curtains closed.
It is foreseen that other makers will also apply
LED light ring, surely more than Dyson in the use of rings.
In terms of suction, it still uses the V2
digital motor with 78000 RPM with 20% better performance than the first
generation. However, loud noise caused by high speed remains.
Dyson, aware of this problem in the first-generation
360 Eye, sets silent, standard and powerful gears on Heurist with separate
suction of 8AW, 22AW and 27AW and running time of 75, 40 and 32 minutes. The
charging time is about 5 hours.
Is the gear setting familiar? Yes, it
resembles the cordless hand-held vacuum cleaner Dyson V10. The V10 strong gear
has a duration of 10 minutes. The lowest gear is particularly set for the use
time, but the suction is too weak to drive the pneumatic floor brush. Its use
time advertised is 60 minutes.
It is thick in size like the first generation,
so cleaning under the sofa and the bed remains its inherent disadvantage.

features stronger map function and floor brush.

nose following trends:
1. Stronger motor and suction. Dyson is
typical in this aspect. But high-speed motor results in high-frequency noise. In
addition, Dyson consistently adopts cyclone technology, making dust barrels
larger than its counterparts. As a result, it is too thick to reach the bottom
of bed and sofa.
2. Stronger map planning, represented by
iRobot.
3. Artificial intelligence, machine
learning. Through artificial intelligence and machine learning, improve the

by Dyson and Ecovacs.
